The Silver Coast (Costa de Prata) has lots of beautiful beaches and coastal villages to offer, places such as Peniche, Foz do Arelho, São Martinho do Porto, Nazaré, Figueira da Foz are becoming more popular. Inland places like Sintra, Torres Vedras, Óbidos, Alcobaça, Batalha and Coimbra are becoming more important and together these places make the Silver Coast to what it is today.
It's an area rich with folklore and history and the Portuguese are doing there best to add better conditions and give an easier access to this already colorful and lively west coast.
With a moderated climate of maximum 30 degrees Celsius in summer and an average minimum of 15 degrees Celsius in winter, makes the Costa de Prata a haven for those who cannot bare the southern and inland heat. A variety in weather patterns makes that it's never monotone, but still gives us the possibility to have our meals outside and enjoy the plenty of sunshine even in winter times.
